1. Overview

At The Expert, we strive to deliver high-quality digital marketing, custom software development, and UI/UX design services. Because our agency specializes in bespoke digital solutions, digital assets, and dedicated development hours, our refund processes are explicitly governed by the nature of the project milestone or service tier purchased.

By commissioning work or purchasing service packages from us, you agree to the conditions outlined in this Refund Policy.

2. Digital & Custom Software Services

For custom software engineering, frontend web deployment, and tailored UI/UX design assets:

  • Project Discovery & Setup Fees: Upfront deposits or onboarding fees used to allocate development infrastructure and engineering hours are strictly non-refundable once operational kickoff has commenced.
  • Milestone Payments: Payments tied to specific project phases (e.g., Wireframing, Beta Phase, Final Code Handoff) are non-refundable once the respective milestone has been approved, verified, or signed off by the client.
  • Project Cancellation: If a contract is terminated mid-phase, the client is responsible for paying all accrued development hours up to the date of cancellation notice.

3. Monthly Digital Marketing & Retainers

For recurring services such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), content marketing, and ongoing site management updates:

  • Monthly billing cycles are paid in advance and are non-refundable once the tracking month begins.
  • To cancel an active subscription or marketing retainer without being billed for the subsequent period, cancellation requests must be submitted at least 14 days prior to the next scheduled automated billing renewal date.
  • No partial refunds or pro-rated adjustments will be issued for unused mid-month billing cycles.

4. Approved Adjustments & Processing

In rare instances where an administrative billing error occurs or a specialized partial refund is approved by our management team via a written addendum, funds will be transferred back to the original funding source. Processing, clearing, and verification protocols typically take 7 to 14 business days, varying based on your banking institution's structural network operations.

5. Client Cooperation & Delays

We rely on prompt client feedback, access keys, and media assets to meet development milestones. The Expert is not liable, and will not issue refunds, for project delays resulting from a client's failure to provide necessary assets, functional feedback, or clear design direction within agreed-upon production schedules.
